Where do you service?
In general, I service the greater Los Angeles area.
I'm based out of the SF Valley, so I have more availability in the nearby areas, extending out to Pasadena, Santa Clarita, DTLA, mid-Wilshire, west side, Malibu, Thousand Oaks, and Moorpark. I can also more easily accommodate short-notice events in that zone, as well.
If you were to ask a search engine, that area would probably sound more like: Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, DTLA, Atwater, Century City, West Hollywood, WeHo, Koreatown, mid-city, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Topanga Canyon, Malibu, Venice, San Fernando Valley, SFV, North Hollywood, NoHo, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Van Nuys, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Reseda, Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Porter Ranch, North Hills, Panorama City, Sylmar, Santa Clarita, San Fernando, Stevenson Ranch, Newhall, Valencia, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley.
What bartending license do you have?
I maintain both Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and Food Handler certifications, which are state-issued licenses. Legally, there's no required license to bartend in California, but most restaurants require both for any bartender they hire. When people refer to a licensed, TIPS trained, or ServeSafe bartender, they mean RBS certification.
What insurance do you carry?
I keep general liability and liquor liability insurance, which is required at nearly every venue.
What is your tip policy?
My contracts allow me to place a tip jar on the bartop, along with information displayed for money apps.
I understand that for some events, tip jars aren't really the vibe. I do offer rates for no-obligation tipping during the serving period—what is sometimes referred to as a "hosted tip." No tip jar or info is displayed, and if anybody asks, I explain that the host has taken care of gratuity so that the guests can enjoy the event.
That being said, this is America, so if someone wants to hand me money despite that information, I reserve the right to take it.
Can you provide mixers or bar supplies?
Absolutely! I offer an assortment of supplies I can provide for your event, from non-perishable extras like cups and napkins, to grocery products like ice, juice, or fruit. I offer a few different packages for convenience, but am happy to customize an offering to suit your event's needs.
Can you provide the alcohol?
Unfortunately, I can only offer dry-hire service, meaning everything but the alcohol. If you are using a catering company that has a liquor license, however, I'm happy to work with them as a subcontractor.
